Getting this grafting needle built was so easy a job that it couldn’t be resisted. I’ll explain – -A dental assistant had the good idea that certain Dentist tools could be made of plastic and be regarded as “throw away” tools. The company which does all my work built the die for such a tool. About the time they were ready to run parts it was discovered that a larger company already had an identical product on the market – – – End of Throw away dental tool die. – – – – But with a few minor revisions it became a grafting tool. With replaceable die inserts the size and shape of the spoon can be readily changed. Presently we have 3 different spoons. Each with a wider spoon in hopes of supplying every user with “Their favorite spoon.” The material of these needles is very tough, yet hard, so that the user can, with fine emery paper, shape the spoon to their own personal taste.
