This cell protector was developed so we could install a cell in a nuc as it was moving down our nuc making assembly line. Naturally we wanted to keep the cell warm so this protector, with queen cell, was “pushed” into the brood between two frames.  The long prongs positively held the cell in the desired position on the comb.
